If we consider how much Melbournites love to drink, it makes sense that they would have a range of bottomless brunch options to maximise the amount of time that you can spend drinking.
From beers to wines and breakfast cocktails, we’ve compiled the best spots for bottomless drinks. Melbourne has no shortage of brunch ideas, so use this list as a guide or possibly even a map for a brunch hop that runs into the evening.
Start your day by the river’s edge with a stunning high tea that, for the great price of $65, is up there with the best boozy brunch Melbourne can offer. Pilgrim has some wonderful views as it sits alongside the historic Federation Wharf right in the heart of Melbourne. This intimate waterfront venue only stocks Australian wine, beer and spirits and seasonal menus that focus on grazing.
You’ll have a genuine experience like no other in a relaxed bar environment with stunning views of the Yarra. Pilgrim’s high tea includes:

Melbourne’s longest-running bottomless brunch lives on a rooftop with stunning views of the city. Fargo and Co offer two hours of bottomless drinks (prosecco, mimosas, wine, cocktail jugs and schooners of beer), snacks and a soundtrack from some of the city’s best DJs for $69.
The gang run two sessions every Saturday and Sunday (12pm – 2pm & 3pm – 5pm), and during summer, you can try their amazing frosé, which will certainly help you beat the heat.
While a revitalised 1907 heritage bank doesn’t usually seem like a place for fun vibes, Fargo and Co breaks the rules and has become a go-to inner-city location. We recommend checking out the espresso martini waffles or the big brunch bowl to keep things healthy.
Fargo and Co are also responsible for the increasingly popular wine-laden yoga classes. Perfect all year round, you’ll love the art deco surroundings when it’s wet and the rooftop terrace when it’s warm.

If Mexican food is your jam, the Bottomless Mexi-Brunch at Bodega Underground is for you! From Friday to Sunday, you’ll enjoy tacos, chilaquiles and bottomless cocktails for 90 minutes and the price of 69 pesos (kidding, all prices are in Australian dollars – 69 pesos is about five bucks, so let’s be fair.)
The vegan menu is next level, and everything is gluten-free. Surely the best brunch Melbourne can offer ends with a churro! If Mexican drinks are even more so your jam, Bodega Underground is the home of mezcal – tequila’s smokier, more rustic cousin. With one of the finest tequila and mezcal collections in Melbourne, you’ll be able to experience both via cocktails and tasting flights (and shots, obviously shots).
Garnish your drink with worm and grasshopper salt, or try the Michelada for a truly Mexican experience. The taco list is also quite extensive, with the sweet potato and green bean options stealing the show. Bodega feels like an easy trip to Mexico that always makes for a great time.

So while this isn’t a specific bottomless brunch, as the name suggests, Archie’s is slinging cocktails all day! This brunch cafe has plenty of variety with four different Mimosas and Bloody Marys and a menu that is just as expansive. Head along and create your own brunch package, which is a fancier way of saying, order copious cocktails and great food from Archie’s amazing menu.
Archie’s All Day is the spot to visit for a burger at 10 am while sitting in the courtyard. Vegetarians, vegans, and those requiring gluten-free options are all covered with everything from small dishes to snacks, cakes and full meals.
Oh, did we forget to mention $10 Negronis all day, every day? That happens as well. What a spot!

One of our favourites on this list when it comes to great atmosphere is Yellow Bird Cafe. They have an amazing all-day breakfast that you can couple at any point with beer, wine or a Mexican cocktail.
While some may argue the bar is out-of-place on the southside, we think this slice of rock n’ roll is exactly what Chapel Street needs! The walls are lined with gig posters, the soundtrack is always awesome, and the staff are some of the nicest around!
Fun fact: Yellow Bird was founded by Clint Hyndman, drummer for arguably Melbourne’s greatest rock band, Something For Kate, so head along and pay respects to local rock royalty.

Keeping with the theme of rock n’ roll swagger, slide on over to Swagger Lee’s in Fitzroy for some Proud Mary coffee, less-than-healthy but extremely delicious comfort food and plenty of cocktails. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available at the door, and there is no such thing as bookings, so wander on in and start your session!
Stagger Lee’s offers single-origin espresso, filter and cold drip, which you can enjoy on outdoor seating or the large communal table. Everything about this place is extremely sunny, and there is no better spot to hit to start your weekend.
The breakfast staples are here, along with baguettes, baked goods (try the peanut butter and jelly tarts), passionfruit lamingtons and many other weird and wonderful concoctions that will delight your palette. All of this goodness is wrapped up in a stylishly cool hangout spot that we think should be renamed Swagger Lee’s.

If the word “bottomless” gets you a little excited, adding the word “gnocchi” after it should have you truly amped. Brunswick’s Mamma’s Boy Trattoria offers unlimited gnocchi and cocktails every Sunday from 11:30am for just $59.
There are three distinct gnocchi dishes on offer (the truffle mushroom is a winner), and you can pair it with limitless espresso martinis and Mojitos. It seriously doesn’t get better than this!
You’ll also find a range of very out-there non-traditional bruschettas along with classic dishes like pesto, fior di latte and Roma tomatoes. If you aren’t quite ready to hit the alcohol this early, we recommend the range of Italian milkshakes (Tiramisu, please and thank you).
The trip is worth it for the homemade cannolis alone (try the mystery flavour), and you can wash those down with $25 Spritz jugs. The perfect pairing!

A Bottomless Brunch features a set fee, a range of drink options and food service included within a package, so you can indulge until your heart (or stomach) is content. Essentially, brunch is a magical meal placed somewhere between breakfast and lunch that allows you to have a sleep-in on the weekend, and is much more fun when combined with drinks.
The limits placed around the bottomless brunch are usually time-based. Most sessions will run from 90 minutes to two hours, during which time you can eat and drink as much as you like. As for limits on the amounts of food and drink included, well, that wouldn’t be very bottomless now, would it?
Now you’ve got the list, start exploring our top 10 bottomless brunch cafes in Melbourne. We have no doubt you’ll be able to eat and drink as much as physically possible in some of the city’s finest surroundings.
