As we run towards a post-covid future, we are ramping up our team in excitement for the return of travel. As a result, an excellent opportunity exists for a senior Business Development Manager to join our team at Veriu Central on a full-time basis.

Veriu Central is an iconic hotel in the cultural heart of Sydney. With ownership of the local sales function for Veriu Central, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Work closely with the Associate Director of Local Sales (Melbourne-based) and Hotel Manager
  • Drive corporate, group and inbound sales
  • Generate new business
  • Nurture existing accounts to build relationships and drive business
  • Navigate and secure opportunities associated with major projects and institutions
  • Cold-call, knock on doors, generate new leads & develop a strong corporate pipeline
  • Increase brand awareness by improving current relationships & building strong relationships with new clients
  • Conduct site inspections, visit clients, attend industry events & work with a team-orientated approach
  • Actively contribute to the strategic direction of the Group
  • Assist in the training and upskilling of the hotel teams with respect to lead generation and qualifying


We work in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same, so we’re looking for people who are adaptable, enjoy variety and are self-motivated “hunters” when it comes to identifying and securing opportunities.

You will be ready to hit the ground running, bring with you strong experience in business development and the proven ability to drive, influence and exceed targets. Experience in a hotel sales function and strong knowledge of the target area & market (around our hotel) is desirable, but don’t let that be a barrier to you applying.
