Job Title

Hotel Manager

Our name means True & Genuine, and from humble beginnings our brand was founded out of a genuine passion for connecting travellers to the authenticity of a location by providing comfortable and bespoke accommodation. Today, we are a multi-brand accommodation group operating 17 hotels (and growing!) across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

Although each property we operate is unique and true to the location it is situated, we possess the same guest service philosophy that drives what we do each and every day.

We have an ambitious pipeline of new hotels that will see us continue to expand across the country, with the goal of operating 80+ hotels by 2030! As we embark on this journey, we are focused on building long-lasting relationships with a great sense of integrity, surrounding ourselves with talented individuals driven by self-growth, all while operating with an ownership mindset.

Each member of our team is a business partner, dedicated to providing incredible guest experiences and exceptional results through their respective roles.

As we run towards a post-covid future, we are ramping up our hotels in excitement for the return of travel. As a result, an excellent opportunity exists for a Hotel Manager to join our team in a new dual hotel management role, overseeing two properties in close proximity to each other.

The hotels are at the doorstep of the iconic cultural heart of Melbourne, and with ownership of the full business success your responsibilities will be to:

  • Maintain hotel operational efficiency to benchmarks
  • Actively participate in sales lead generation, data capture & business development
  • Build key local relationships with guests, agents, customers, partners & suppliers
  • Financial management & monthly reporting to the Cluster Hotel Manager, Director of Operations & CEO
  • Compliance of relevant licensing, OH&S and Covid19 Safety Plan regulations
  • Purchasing/supply management
  • Manage, coordinate & oversee the complete operations of the hotel, including Front Office & Housekeeping department team & tasks
  • Identify property maintenance concerns & liaise with the Group Technical
  • Services Manager as to the coordination of maintenance requirements across rooms & common areas
  • End to end guest experience management

We work in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same, so we’re looking for someone who is adaptable, enjoys variety, is self-motivated and loves to empower those around them. You will be ready to hit the ground running, bring with you strong experience in hotel operations and the proven ability to drive, influence and exceed targets.

To us, the role of Hotel Manager is so much more than operations. It’s about being a successful business operator, supportive pillar and leader to others, and driver of local sales.

Experience in business development (or excellent working knowledge of this function) will be beneficial, and you will be required to have (or be willing to obtain) your First Aid certificate.

You’ll be equally as passionate about your career growth as we are about seeing our portfolio of hotels grow, and have alignment to our company values of Relationship Focused, Integrity, Ownership Mindset and Personal Growth.

As a Hotel Group in its infancy stages embarking on an ambitious growth trajectory, we are looking for passionate and motivated like-minded individuals to join our team. We keep our structure simple because we believe strongly in developing our people to be well-rounded professionals. This allows us to accelerate our people’s careers into management roles quickly and provide cross-exposure between Corporate Office and operations.

Our career map promotes tailored career paths for each member of our team – the pathways are endless! No matter the role you hold, you are a business partner with the ability to truly make an impact.

We have a comprehensive onboarding program and a Fast-Track Management Program in its pilot stage. Opportunities for career growth are plentiful and we also offer other benefits such as discounts on accommodation and an unrivaled culture.

Veriu Group is a proud Equal Employment Opportunity Employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity. We celebrate and embrace the creativity, insights and experiences that are created by diversity and welcome people of all backgrounds, experiences and abilities to apply.

There is no better time to join our growing team, so submit a copy of your current resume to apply now. While a cover letter is not compulsory, we would love to learn more about you and your reasons for applying through your cover letter.
