We’re expanding and welcoming a brand new hotel to our portfolio with the opening of Veriu Queen Victoria Market late 2022! As a result, we’re looking for a business development expert (we’re open to this being a Business Development Executive or Business Development Manager) to join the pre-opening team and wider Veriu Group family.

 

From humble beginnings, our brand was founded out of a passion for connecting travellers to the local authenticity of a location by providing comfortable and bespoke accommodation. Today, we are a multi-brand accommodation group operating 17  hotels (and significantly growing!) across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

Ideally starting late July/early August, you’ll report to the Hotel Manager and work actively to identify opportunities to create partnerships with businesses that will drive revenue & room nights to the hotel. You’ll play a crucial part in ensuring traction with corporate bookings from the moment the doors open.

Your day to day

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Drive corporate sales to increase production and generate new corporate relationships
  • Navigate and secure opportunities associated with major projects and institutions
  • Cold-call, knock on doors, generate new leads & develop a strong corporate pipeline
  • Increase brand awareness by improving current relationships & build strong relationships with new clients
  • Conduct site inspections, client visits, attend industry events & work with a team-orientated approach
  • Develop and implement sales plans and develop a targeted approach to grow our business to exceed targets
