As Business Development Manager, you will drive new business acquisition through the building of strong relationships within the local community. You will be targeted in your approach and motivated to secure new accounts that will contribute to us reaching our optimal guest mix target and exceeding financial benchmarks.

While you will be autonomous in the local sales function, you will understand that success is a collective effort & you will be passionate about seeing our Group realise its ambitious growth plans of operating 100 hotels in the next 10 years.

To us, the role of Business Development Manager is key to us reaching our ambitious financial and growth targets.

Responsibilities

Working closely with our Hotel Managers and the greater Local Sales team, your areas of focus will be to:

  • Drive corporate sales
  • Generate new corporate business
  • Navigate and secure opportunities associated with major projects and institutions
  • Cold-call, knock on doors, generate new leads & develop a strong corporate pipeline
  • Increase brand awareness by improving current relationships & building strong relationships with new clients
  • Conducting site inspections, visit clients, attend industry events & work with a team-orientated approach
  • Actively contribute to the strategic direction of the Group

Talent Profile

We are looking for someone who is a self-motivated “hunter” when it comes to identifying and securing opportunities. Someone who is ready to hit the ground running, who brings with them strong experience in business development and who has the proven ability to drive, influence and exceed targets.

Experience in a hotel sales function and strong knowledge of the target area & market (around our hotels) is desirable. Must haves include a team-approach and alignment to our company values of Relationship Focused, Integrity, Ownership Mindset and Personal Growth.
